Label Biography:
Whilst there have been many labels formed by Rob Ayling, Voiceprint was the first, founded in 1990. The debut was a Daevid Allen album, ‘The Australian years’, and since then, many artists and bands have released albums through the label. These include Gong, Soft Machine, Hugh Hopper, Asia, Geoff Downes, John Wetton, Rick Wakeman, Trevor Rabin and Steve Hillage. Other releases came from artists as diverse as Matt Malley, formerly of Counting Crows, Fish, Man, David Kubinec and Curtis Ohlson. The band Yes have also recently released albums or DVDs through the label.
Key releases through Voiceprint include ‘An Evening of Yes Music Plus’, both on CD and DVD, from Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe. There were also limited edition boxed sets which included those from former Van Der Graaf Generator bassist Nic Potter, entitled,’ All Contained’ and ‘The Video Vault’ by Rick Wakeman.
