Summerfold Records
Well known for his work in progressive rock with Yes, King Crimson, and Genesis, drummer Bill Bruford’s own recording career falls broadly into two halves. His rock orientated music from 1977 to 1986 is available from Winterfold Records, while Summerfold Records archives his many collaborations in jazz and world music from 1987 to the present.
Summerfold Records, established in 2003, existed initially to document all the more recent material from Bill’s long-standing group Earthworks, but rapidly blossomed into the outlet for his many collaborations with a host of talented partners: pianist Michiel Borstlap, guitarist Ralph Towner, saxophonist Tim Garland, composer Colin Riley, percussionist Pete Lockett, the New Percussion Group of Amsterdam, and the World Drummers Ensemble, among others.
