Holly Tree started in 1996 in the city of Sao Paulo, influenced by punk rock bands from all over the world such as Toy Dolls, Ramones and the Sex Pistols. The most recent Rancid and Green Day cannot be forgotten. Holly Tree played in Brazil with several classic bands of the English punk rock scene such as The Vibrators, Buzzcocks, U.K. Subs.
In its six years of existence, Holly Tree has played all over in Brazil and has toured coast to coast in the U.S.
In Brazil the band has released three independent CDs, two recorded in studio - "Running Out of Sense" and "Don't Burst Me" - and one live - "Live in Sao Paulo".
Now, released by Voiceprint, the CD "Running Out Of Sense" (1998) is the initial work of the band, and clearly shows the intention of the band, which is to make the most pure punk rock.
